NIKKA KAWAYY

We are excited to present our inaugural model, the NIKKA KAWAYY, currently in development. This groundbreaking vehicle comes with a host of features designed to elevate your driving experience.

Exceptional Battery Life

At the heart of any electric car lies its battery, and we’ve taken a unique approach to ensure longevity. Our battery boasts an impressive 25,000 cycles, equating to an astonishing 35-year lifespan. Even with twice-daily charging, this battery thrives in temperatures spanning from -20 to +70 degrees Celsius without requiring additional heating.

For climates beyond this temperature spectrum, we are actively developing optional heating and cooling solutions.

Now, regarding the NIKKA KAWAYY’s capabilities, you might be curious. We’ve set our sights on a target range of 200-250 km, making it an ideal choice for urban environments and short commutes. Please bear in mind that the actual reach may vary due to factors such as weather and road conditions, driving stile, and vehicle weight.

Customizable Instrumentation

We offer a standard Dashboard, or Instrument Cluster, with a central round display. However, if you’re a developer with a vision for a different dashboard layout — say, three round displays instead of the rectangular one — we’re here to support your creativity. We provide CAN Bus Protocols, complete with all the messages that can occur on the BUS, along with Pinouts for the Dashboard Connector. Moreover, you’ll be able to conveniently purchase the correct connector from our webshop. But that’s not all. We provide the CAD data for the existing Instrument, so you can check everything going on behind the curtains for yourself. If you make improvements that pass our scrutiny, you might even see your design become a purchase option in our series production — a testament to our commitment to flexibility.

Versatile Drive Options

The NIKKA KAWAYY offers a range of engine options: 11KW, 15KW, and 30KW. Your choice will be influenced by regulations and certifications, such as EU L6/L7, which limits the maximum power to 15KW. Nevertheless, flexibility reigns supreme in other areas.

Are you a developer or engineer with ideas for optimizing anything? We appreciate your input — and provide comprehensive datasheets for the motor driver and all controllers, complete with certified firmware settings. If you uncover settings that enhance efficiency or performance, you can submit them for validation and compliance checks. Please note that certain parameters, like maximum speed, are subject to regulatory constraints. Changing them without approval will result in the loss of certification and roadworthy status.

Adaptable Electronic Control Unit (ECU)

The ECU is the brain of our vehicle, where all the magic happens. We go a step further by making our ECU source code available to you. Should you wish to enhance it, you can. Send your revised source code to us for validation and safety assessments. Upon approval, you’ll receive a digital certificate that resides within the ECU.

Inspection companies have access to a tool that compares the ECU and all other components against our car’s system footprint to ensure your safety and certification. While we value flexibility, we also prioritize your well-being. Using non-certified firmware jeopardizes your roadworthy license.

Repairability and Documentation

Our aim is to make this vehicle as repairable — and thus, as sustainable — as possible. Whether you’re a mechanic, run a body shop, or do your own garage repairs, we’ve got you covered with extensive technical documentation. We provide all part numbers and direct links to purchase parts, even in the aftermarket. If you’re ever puzzled by a cable or connector, we offer detailed information to decode it. We’re going to release repair videos and written guides — easy to understand and follow. If you have suggestions for improvement, share them with us. We’re dedicated to making your repair experience as seamless as possible and reduce the need for specialized tools whenever feasible.

Please note: When dealing with high voltage systems, airbag and restraint systems, air conditioning systems and the like — in the interest of your own safety, please only work on systems you’re qualified to work with, and adhere to any applicable regulations and guidelines.

Flexislot: Tailored Utility Modules

Located at the rear of the NIKKA KAWAYY is the Flexislot, typically used as a trunk. However, it can transform into various configurations to suit your needs. Replace the trunk module with an additional battery or a gasoline range extender as needed. If you have a unique solution in mind, our webshop offers a default slider with power and communication connectors, to explore your ideas and suit your needs. Technical documentation is readily available, and if your solution may help other users as well, we’ll gladly collaborate to implement it in our upgrades shop.
